One of the hottest new trends in RC flying is 6 channel remote control helicopters – these are a load of fun. They can fly outdoors and indoors and are readily available at you local hobby store or even online.
Some of the latest technologies are incorporated into these helicopters and most hobbyists enthuse about their easy handling and versatility. The use of 6 channels allows the pilot to control all facets of the helicopters flight. Some models even allow the pilot to tumble them in loops while flying and you have absolute control over your RC helicopter.
The downside is that these helicopters are pricier than the run of the mill helicopters , but they are much more life like and you really get maximum value for your money. These models accurately reflect the prototype as real helicopters have multiple channels sometimes even more than 6. This makes flying these helicopters much more realistic. These helicopters are even more impressive once you actually try them out. You can also customize the body , blades and even have the paintwork done to your taste. These added features and flexibility do however come at a cost , but most enthusiasts will tell you that its worth the extra spend.
A good friend recently tried my new 6 channel baby. Up to this point he had been somewhat reluctant to try out these new helicopters. He is usually slow to adopt change and new technologies.
I took him to the park with my latest addition and let him try it out. Needless to say he was impressed , so much so that the next day I bumped into him at the local hobby store and guess what he was buying. My advice to any RC enthusiasts who are in two minds about 6 channel RC helicopters is to take one for a test flight – You will never look back. I have been flying 6 channel RC helicopters for over a year now and have found them to be much more reliable than my other models.
Six channel RC helicopters are the best and easily most controllable helicopters in the market today and they are loads of fun to fly.
